eight

currently have both a label cdr demo and a c20 for potential self-release that i'm waiting on my boy to do art for + working on compiling material for another label cdr demo. also have several comp tracks i've submitted, two of the comps being done by web labels and the other one being a pro-pressed 3xcd that should come out in december. one of the comps just came out, check it out, it's on a ukrainian weblabel called hum and hiss run by the artist mossy pussy. my track is the second track from the unreleased c20 malaise. there's a lot of other really good noise on the label to check out as well.

summer jamz. since people have been asking, on 7/19 i cataloged all the music i've made after not listening/recording for a while. 10 of the 16 were good enough to keep, the rest were deleted.

april (1-2) - attempting to figure out gear. mostly mixer/delay/distortion/mic. kind of an eai feel on some of it. gotta start somewhere.
may (3-7) - more work with no-input, feedback, influences from psychedelic noise, recorded guitar/vocal jams with tony.
july (8-10) - influences from HNW. soundcheck, no-input HNW soundcheck, and HNW piece.

all tracks are z.c. solo except 5 and probably 6, which are z.c. and a.s.

i would say they're better than the radio set and that they get progressively better.

new summer jams upcoming, now with 50% less terrible. finally becoming adept enough at banging shit together to begin widespread and obnoxious self promotion.

came out ok. some good parts, my gear was kinda fucked and sounded pretty bad for a while. i'd give it about 6/10. will be better next year. thanks to andrew for being a good sport, it would have been pretty horrible without him.

z.c.- mixer, pedals, mic, junk, concepts
a.c.- guitar, turntable

secon

so i was chillin outside smith hall last night tryin to catch the tail end of 4/20 (did so successfully) when i saw andrew from enola gay going into to broadcast with sean from secrets of the ooze. i told him about this project and said i'd be down to play on his show, but that i need collaborators cause i physically need more hands to play and that i might want to buy a mixer and possibly another pedal first. so, my first live aktion will probably be on andrew's show enola gay, which is from 2-4 on tuesdays, assuming i'm ready to do it within the next month. i might just borrow a mixer from the station. it's pretty much up to me if i wanna carry all my gear over to the station, i just want to make sure my sound's full and dynamic enough first. he's probably going to play something of his from his laptop (he has a lot of pop songs played at warped speeds/layered/reversed and played over breakbeats/etc.), i'll improvise with junk/contact mic, and, if i have a mixer available, i'll probably find someone to improvise on junk guitar. dorm recordings are OK but never long/loud/dynamic/creative enough cause my neighbors get pissed, but i'll definitely post some if i get my mixer.

first

i make noise.

influences - The Haters, MSBR, Miles Davis, city and train sounds, Crass, cheap 40s, Void, C.C.C.C., Kevin Drumm, Earth, Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, weed, The New Blockaders, 90's emo, Burzum, Bastard Noise, Masonna, animal liberation, The Rita, Merzbow, John Wiese, etc.

all sounds recorded live on lo-fi (read: cheap) gear without overdubs.

plans: short term - recording grimy demos. saving up for more gear. possibly collaborating with several friends. medium term - playing on WUML. long term - putting out tapes on rrrecords, making bank, and puffing blunts with dominick fernow and stan reed.

leave me a comment/hit me up somehow if you give a fuck about my music.
